Our project

  • Projecto Higueras

The purpose of the study was to determine the conditions of the river following microbiological tests. The tests were carried out by a TYPSA team from Peru. The cost of the studies, carried out in 2019, was covered by Water Aid Sverige. Samples were taken from 23 km2 of the river.

They were analyzed for various chemical compositions and their conductivity. The study shows how the polluted state of this river contributes to the region's anemia and diarrhea problems.

  • Clean Games

Through the games, they aim to raise awareness about the environment and encourage people to take action to reduce their impact on it. They also hope to make the world a cleaner place.

In 2021, the Baltic Cup was held in Aarhus. It was part of the campaign to get rid of more garbage from the environment. During the event, we collected all the garbage that was thrown on the streets of Aarhus.

About 30 individuals from different countries participated in the first staging of the games. For the event, we made teams and collected garbage from the area. The three teams that got the most garbage collected were awarded.

  • Projecto esperanza

Our team's close contact with the communities affected by the pandemic led us to learn about the situation in Peru. Through the help of local organizations, we were able to provide oxygen to the locals.

Saving Rivers and Lakes has managed to acquire an oxygen plant that could provide oxygen to the local population of Huánuco at cost price. The oxygen plant was donated by private foundations from Dubai and purchase by the Peruvian company Systemas Analiticos.

The administration of the Oxygen plant was managed by our partner Asociación Proyecto Huánuco, which is based in Huánuco, thougt whom we also delivered several donations to the Huanuco Hospitals.

The plant was bought from Xizhou which produced medical grade oxygen. It was functioning for 8 months and delivered 96,000 cylinders of oxygen.

The plant served a total of 3,320 covid-19 patients.
